After spending all day yesterday inside sleeping and watching The Big Bang Theory I feel I have to get out of the house today. So I have decided to go to Covent Garden to buy some fancy chocolate and have a look around. I am also hoping to find some bargains at H&M. At least I will get some fresh London air.

Day 5: Snowy London.

Snowing in London.

I think I brought the snow back from Norway because it started snowing the day after I got back and it is snowing today also.
It looks so white and beautiful.
I put out some food for the birds but the only visitor I had so far is a squirrel.

Tried out the camera on my new Samsung Galaxy.

Today I

-started applying for jobs
-watched Confessions of a shopaholic
-did some laundry
-had pasta for dinner
-went to see a play at the Etcetera Theatre in Camden
-had a coffee and walked home

The play I saw is called "There's no place like home" and it's about Elizabeth and Neil, a normal married couple, it's just that Neil has just died.So they have to figure out how this new situation works. It was playing at the Ecetetera Theatre, a small charming theatre just above The Oxford Arms pub in Camden.

Day 4

Day 4: Theatre in Camden.

My morning.

I havent been working for over a week now and getting really bored so today I have spent some time looking for and applying to jobs. Since the summer I have been temping with an agency but it doesn't look like they have any projects for me right now and I also want something more interesting and long term.

This evening I am planning on going to se a play in a theatre in Camden Town, walked past there yesterday, saw a poster and it looked fun.

My day in Camden.

I managed to get out a little earlier today, think it was around 2pm. I can't seem to leave the house before that time when I am not working.

I treated myself to a mocha from Bean About Town in Kentish Town and walked down to Camden Town to look around a bit.

I need a cover for my new Samsung tablet so went into a few stores but couldn't find any, probably sold out. I also need a new digital camera so I went to PC World to see if I could decide on a camera but think I will stick to a Canon Ixus. I had an Ixus before and I tend to buy the same brands as I am used to.
Would be really nice to have a camera again so I can take better photos than I can with the phone camera. My last digital camera broke over 2 years ago when I dropped it on the floor. So it is about time.

Day 2 : Found a new Italian deli.

On my way to Hampstead Heath I found an Italian Deli that had many types of fresh pasta and other tasty stuff. It's called Giacobazzis and they are located on Fleet Road near Hampstead Heath. Will definitly try their pesto ravioli when I get paid this weekend.

365 Days of photos.

A while ago one of my friends posted a photo on Facebook every day for a year. I got inspired to do same. So I am going to post one photo here on the blog each day. Starting yesterday.
I will take the pictures on my Blackberry/ipod camera so it might not be the best quality but that's part of the charm.

London!

I am back in London and I am not missing the snow because it started snowing here!
Spent the morning trying to set up my new Galaxy tablet, managed to tap the wrong country (Chile) in the app store so I had to redo it and finally managed to get it right so I could download some apps. Will try to add some books to it so I could do some reading on the tube.

Have a few things to do today, look for a new digital camera, grocery shopping and laundry before I can relax this evening when I am meeting a friend of mine at the Green Note in Camden Town.

Back to London.

Its time to replace Tine ice coffee with Frappuchinos and good homemade Norwegian food with pasta, couscous and McDonalds.
It is time to go back to London.
Even though it will be good to come back, I had such a good time here in Norway, so it will be a little sad to leave. I can always come back and visit though.
I came here with a only a weekend bag full of clothes and now I have stuffed both the bag and a cabin suitcase so full that I almost cant close them but I managed to room for some chocolate and liquorice.

Oscar nomination to Kon-Tiki!

I have been waiting all day for the nominations and was very excited when I read that the Norwegian film Kon-Tiki is nominated for an Oscar in the category best foreign language film. Congratulations to everyone involved!

Work, eat and sleep.

Today was my last day at work before returning to London, at least that I know of. I work as a temp for Adecco so they might call or text me tomorrow morning to ask if i can work.

I have begun stock up on Norwegian stuff to take back to London, mostly chocolate and films. I bought Kompani Orheim today, based on a book by Tore Renberg.
I have seen the two earlier films and loved them both, so I can't wait to see this one as well.

Ruins by the lake Mjøsa

Me and my Dad went for a walk by the lake Mjøsa today. We walked towards the ruins of the old church (1200 - 1567).

New Years Resolutions.

At the start of a new year people always talk about new years resolutions.
Many want to quit smoking or exercise more. 

This is what I want:

Get a job where I can practise what I have studied and speak and develop my English.
Work towards getting a place on my own.
Travel more. New York, Paris, Iceland are places I would like to visit. I would also like to see more of England.
Take more photos.
Start saving up some money.

I have wanted this necklace a long time and I discovered today that they have made one for Hedmark, the county I am from in Norway.
So I'm hoping that when I get back to London I will get a real job so I can save up some money and buy it.
