Day off.

I had the day off yesterday and I couldn't just sit inside even though that would have saved me some money on impulse shopping. I went for a walk to Hampstead village and Hampstead Heath.
It was so nice and quiet in the park and I decided to take some photos with my phone.
The tree made me think of the whomping willow from Harry Potter.

Thoughts about turning 30

I only have a few days left of my thirties, Friday is the day I have been dreading for years but I can't stop it.
Ten years ago I dreaded turning 20 and the twenties was so much better than my teens so I hope my thirties will be even better. Still I don't want to leave my twenties. And some of the more important goals I set ten years ago is yet to be accomplished.
A few weeks/months ago I was thinking about making a list about what to do before turning thirty but now it's to late and I am making a list of things I can do after turning thirty. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

The list is in no particular order and I will add things.

1. Cutting my hair short (ala Michelle Willams and Emma Watson)
2. Going blonde
3. Visiting the states
4. Graduate university
5  Getting a proper job
6. Be responsible and save up some money
7. Getting my drivers license
8. Getting a car
9. Getting a flat of my own
10. (Begin to ) Learn a new language (I was thinking Icelandic or Japanese)

Whitney

I was so shocked to hear the sad news of Whitney Houstons death last night.

I grown up with her music, I think I will always love you was one of the first pop songs I listened to and of course I watched The Bodyguard again and again after my mother bought it on VHS.

Listening to her on Spotify now, I rediscover her many great songs.
She had an amaing voice.

Shocked.

I am shocked after hearing about the bombing and shooting that happened in Norway friday. My prayers thoughts and prayers goes out to all the victims and their families.
I can not understand how anyone could do a thing like this.

Earlier today I lit a candle for the victims.

Job advice.

Never ever work for City Centre recruitment!

I have tried to get my salary from them for weeks now.
Every week they find another excuses for why they can't.
First they needed my ID, ok fair enough.
I was out of town so I sent them a copy of my bank ID and I was told it was ok and I would get my payments the next friday.

Friday came but no money so I sent my contact person an email and when I got no answer (appearently he was away on vacation, lucky him) his colleague told me they needed another form of ID so I sent them a photo of my passport, again I was told it was ok and I would be paid in my account the next friday.
I was not.

I am now told I need to come into the office in London with my passport and I will get my payment in cheque.

Wonder what excuses they will use tomorrow.

Candle

One good thing that happened today was that I finally found somewhere to buy Yankee Candles. I went into CLinton cards to look for a postcard and I came out with a candle instead. I bought the Clean Cotton fragrance (and it smells so good), found out I can also buy them online, think I am gonna try the lilac one next time.
